We’ve Been Invaded by Emu!

A couple of weeks ago we had a little visit from some representatives from Emu.  They had asked if they could come visit the offices for a few days but I’m not sure they knew what they were getting themselves into.

They arrived bright and early on a Thursday morning and were immediately put to work holding product knowledge sessions for our contact center team. All of our phone, email, and  specialty teams were able to learn a little bit of history about the brand and detailed information about all the products. They also got to touch and feel the styles which is important for them since they rarely get to see the product in person. At the end of the day, many of our lucky employees even got free Emus so they could test them out and see just how great these boots really are!

After four sessions of about sixty people total, we asked them to do some product videos for our site. We stuck them in our little studio with our videographer Adam and didn’t see them again until the end of the day. We heard that things were going well and could tell there was a lot of laughing going on so we couldn’t wait to see the finished product.

They showed up again the next morning ready to finish off the videos and have a little fun in the afternoon. We put them back in the studio where they finished off the women’s product and once they were done we invited them to join us at our annual Shoes.com Olympics where I’m pretty sure they had a good time! We were sad to see them go, but hopefully they had so much fun they’ll be back again soon!

We finally got to see some of the finished product on the following Monday and we were so happy. They did a great job and we’re very excited for our customers to get to see them as well. Take a look at a couple of the videos below and go to our site to see videos on all the new product!

Thank you to Lauretta, Dani, and Mike for coming to hang out with us for a couple of days. You guys are welcome back any time!
